OVERLOOK COLOR BLOCK HOME
Our clients, a well traveled pair, requested that we design a space for them in an updated mid-century (yet more modern) concept, where every piece has purpose or meaning. As we embarked on this journey with them, we collaborated on a narrative that resulted in an eclectic, sculptural evolution of color and style. We quickly learned that they love bright hues, ultimately driving the deliberate juxtaposition of unlikely bold pairings to elevate the experience. To really take the dialogue next-level, we gathered a team of our favorite local craftspersons to create carefully articulated details and saturated color - from the fireplace surround to the bedroom screen - an inspired mash up of Paul Smith meets van Gogh. The concept of color-blocking is apparent, and the overall vibe minimal, but cozy.
